The graph illustrates the Fish and other three meat consumption between 1979 and 2004.
Looking at the line graph, we can know that the fish consumption was consistently lower than other three lines, which remained stable at its lowest point at about 50 grams per person per week between 1979 and 2004.
The Lamb consumption declined with fluctuation from its peak (150 grams per person per week) to its bottom (just over 50 grams per person per week) between 1979 and 2004.
Similarily, the consumption of beef started from 220 grams per person per week, initially higher than other three lines but decreasing sharply to 160 grams per person per week in 1980 and peaked at about 240 grams per person per week by 1984. Finally, it decreased to its lowest point at 100 grams per person per week.
By contrast, the consumption of Chicken increased with some apparent fluctuations between 1979 and 2004. Starting from its lowest point of 140 grams per person per week, the Chicken line gradually went up, overtaking the beef line in 1988. After that, the Chicken line reached its peak at 200 grams per person per week by 2002, and finally decreased slightly till the year of 2004.
To sum up, the chicken, beef, lamb and fish consumption show different trends between 1979 and 2004.
